The 20th International Baltic Ballet festival
The International Baltic Ballet Festival "From classics to avant-garde" is the only festival in Riga which tends to represent the professional worlds' level ballet artists and choreographies showing the best of today in classical ballet and contemporary dance. The festival has been initiated in 1996 in Riga by ex-Prima of Latvian National Ballet Lita Beiris, who is Director of the festival. Aim The aim of the Festival is to enrich the culture life of Latvia by introducing our society with worlds' level innovations in dance art as well as to promote the ballet art by picturing its diverse spirit through choreography, technics, story, music interpretation and emotional expressions. Values Quality, diversity, actuality, accessibility. Concept The 20th International Baltic Ballet festival “From the classics to avant-garde” will take place from 30th of Mart to 30th of April 2015 in Riga, Ventspils, Valmiera, Preiļi and Rēzekne. ...
