The 6th IBBF Riga 2001
participated - the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company /Israel/ with performance “Aide Memoire”, Jo Stromgren Company and Dance company with performance “There” and Ingun Bjornsgaard Prosjekt /Norway/ with performance “The Afternoon and Others”, Anzelika Cholina Dance Theatre / Lithuania/ with performance “Tango in Fa”, Estonia theatre Jazz Ballet with performance “In the Duke’s Mood”, Dance group Dzirnas with performance “The King”, ballet group of the Latvian National Opera.
In the Gala concert participated ballet stars: Ruta Jezerskite and Frederico Donelli from the Netherlands /Dutch National Ballet/, Anastasia Volochkova and Evgeny Ivanchenko from Russia /Maryinsky Theatre/, dancer, choreographer and teacher Russel Adamson from Finland, Cristo Vivancos Prunes and Montse Espinosa Trilla from Spain /Barselona Opera Theatre/, Tetyana Golyakova and Leonid Sarafanov from Ukraine /National Opera of Ukraine/; Specially for this Festival was staged a mediaeval musical/dance mystery based on Margeris Zarins’ opera/ballet “The Miracles of Saint Mauritius”.
